A lot happened in the Italian MWS network last weekend. In Schio, a small Venetian town near Vicenza (between Lake Garda and Venice), the latest MWS location was connected to the global network. The location for the MWS system is in the official billiard school "Primo Acchito" of the national Italian billiard sports association FIBIS. With 4 locations for MWS systems, Italy is currently the third largest nation after Germany (9) and Austria (7).
Further west, Luca Marzio Garavaglia's MWS system was relocated. The system of the MWS coach and "5 Pins Doctor" was dismantled at the old location in Desio (near Monza, in the north of Milan) and at the new location in Corteolona (near Pavia, south of the Lombard metropolis) in the billiard club "Olona 96" newly installed. The new location offers the five pins maestro (more on this in "Good, better, Garavaglia") infrastructural and organizational advantages to boost his work with the MWS system.
There are currently MWS systems at 26 locations in 8 countries. And they can all connect and play billiards together remotely, from real table to real table, with real cues, real balls, and in real time - but location independent, at remote locations. Around 300 players who currently have access to a system in their own club form the MWS community, for which we continuously offer sports programme with remote tournaments and remote trainings, live broadcasts and other sports activities.
