Blog entry from 2022-09-05
Beginning in September 2022, the Royal Pro Home Tour will be run as an ongoing series of tournaments with no set end. There is no longer an annual overall ranking. Instead of an annual overall ranking, all results in the form of an ELO rating contribute to a continuous ranking, similar to chess. Subsequently, the ranking leaders are awarded prize money on certain dates (e.g. end of quarter, end of month ...). The winners, second and third place winners of each tournament also receive prize money.
All information about the new Home Tour series is available in our sports portal.
The tournaments are played in the disciplines three cushion and five pins, at a later date biathlon will also be included in the Home Tour series. A separate ranking is maintained for each discipline. The tournament participants can freely arrange the dates of their matches among themselves within fixed time and organizational framework conditions. As soon as a tournament is over, the next tournament starts on the following day. So MWS users can play tournaments non-stop.
All matches of the Home Tour series are streamed live and free of charge on our live platform, the broadcast dates are announced in the live program.
At the start of the 2022/23 season, the first two tournaments in the new Home Tour format will take place, a three cushion tournament and a five pins competition. The field of participants is well-known, including the 14-time title winner and thus Home Tour record champion Andreas Efler, who won the three cushion overall ranking last season, the three-time season winner of the past season Georg Schmied, the ten-time Tour champion and so far undefeated (!) five pins maestro Luca Marzio Garavaglia, and last season's five pins overall winner Ernst-Jan Driessen.
From 09-03 to 2022-10-07 the two season opener competitions will take place. All results and rankings are provided on page current sports season.
