Blog entry from 2022-04-25
It was the weekend of the changing of the guard at the top of the Royal Pro Home Tour all-time rankings. Last Saturday (April 23rd) Andreas Efler won the three cushion doubles with his team partner Zoran Gajs, on Sunday (April 24th) he triumphed in a congenial duet with his wife Brigitte Efler in the five pins doubles. The Austrian overtook the Italian five pins maestro Luca Marzio Garavaglia, who is now in second place in this special ranking with 10 titles.
For the Home Tour overall ranking 2021/22, this means that the top in both discipline rankings has moved closer together again. Andreas Efler has now advanced to second place in both rankings. The current leader in the three cushion discipline ranking is the Austrian Georg Schmied, in the five pins ranking the Dutchman Ernst-Jan Driessen is currently at the top of the classification. The fight for the overall rankings of the 2021/22 Home Tour season is coming to a head, with only three tournament weekends left. So there will be plenty of excitement in the remaining rounds.
